Now this tool was EXPENSIVE and it was going to be too expensive for many of us IM folks, but not any longer because they’ve changed the pricing structure – see the bottom of this post for details about that. This tool can and will save you either a whole mass of work or a whole mass of outsourcing fees! Thus its actually great value!

Let me give you a brief explanation as to what this thing does. Not that you need my take on this side of things – you can of course just click through to the product website.

Basically, it will set up web 2.0 sites for you (that is along the lines (but not necessarily including) of Squidoo, Tumblr, Wetpaint and such like type of blogs), then it will backlink to them for you – if you choose those settings. To create a series of web 2.0s with lots of backlinks.

They have about 30 different web 2.0 blogs in their system right now (that is now depending on the package you want of course) - and the reason they choose these ones is that they tend to be “stickier” than the average web 2.0 is. Meaning that if you put up a Hub page one week, when you go back the next week there is actually a good chance its vanished. Happened to me fairly recently and I had actually made a reasonable job of it.

But the Genie staff have trialled hundreds of these web 2.0s over a period of time and have found the 30 or so that are in their system to be the best at staying up on the web – even with a single post and no profile added.

GOOGLE, Yahoo!, Bing.com | READ THIS – this affects YOU!

I just read this really good email I received a short time ago today about Google and Yahoo and Bing and Mayday algorithm change. Don’t worry I will not bore you with the whole thing and I’m not going to bleat on about this Google algo for too much longer. Its very, very important that we all understand it however, as it could totally make or totally break our online ventures! Make no mistake about that, please.

-

Okay, the main points were this in very brief format…

- Yahoo is going the way of Bing.com with regards to SERP results.

Yahoo loves loadsa backlinks of all sorts and you tend to rank high in Yahoo by getting ‘em.

Apparently (I say apparently as I have no idea what Bing.com likes when it comes to ranking with them – all I do know is that I love the images they have on their search page!!) Bing likes ‘logical’ navigation menus and tabs that are crystal clear. Well, Yahoo! is gonna be going for a similar tact in the coming weeks and months (and please do not ask me to explain what ‘logical’ means here – logic defies me!).

More about this in times to come.

Notice the new upgrade to WordPress.org today? WordPress 3.0 is now out – its called “Thelonius“. Its got some rather hefty changes too, in comparison to any release made up till now. We’ll be talking more about this upgrade over the coming weeks – should be fun, I think!

On to the Google algorithm change, and this is very interesting and what I read from a highly reliable source it must be added!

This short list is about building your backlinks that is almost totally sure to have Google enjoying your every move!

Who is the Mysterious Blogger Who Earns $200,000 a Year Blogging?

Here’s what you’ve all been waiting for… (well, okay, some of you anyhow).

(in continuation from the previous post here How to make $200,000 and more a year online)

And the answer is…

This is, as before, according to the author of the article I read a couple of days before, so please don’t shoot me down if you are to disagree.

In fact, there are a number of things I myself disagree with – I know that it is possible to make a lot of money online from a number of the ways that the author refutes. Nevertheless, let’s get back on track…

Build your own business around your blog!

A guaranteed route to success is to use your blog to build your business!

How?

-  demonstration of your own expertise

-  by creating a “tone” or an image which can then become a selling point in itself

-  building up your body of knowledge which creates a sense of authority within your niche

-  creating a “presence” within the circles of your potential customers

-  invite those potential customers (and others besides) to come over and read your blog regularly

Further Details About Article Directories and Web 2.0′s

Hi Banel, I have 8 article directories in place for the Challenge that all use the do-follow attribute (or not no-do-follow, to be more technically correct).

But yes, you create fast Web 2.0 “properties” using the content you have already spun. Sometimes I will re-visit those Web 2.0 and use more spun content I have sitting on my desktop too, just to boost up the site a bit. Every little bit can help here.

You want to make your “anchors” of value to your visitors (and of course to the search engines, not to mention the owners/managers of the directories and Web 2.0′s).

Remember though, this spun content I use tends to be around 50% unique each time. At the very least you would want 30% unique and to be safe I suggest more – avoid the Google footprint. The extra effort, in my opion, is well and truly worthwhile!

Hope that’s clear Banel?

Best to you!
Regards
J
