Piggy-back off Authority Sites

I am useless and cannot complete a task Piggy back off Authority SitesI just realized that my blog is ranking at the top of Google search for this keyword phrase:

“I am useless and cannot complete a task”

LOL! Some days this is quite true, so Google are quite right in this instance to be ranking my blog at the top icon wink Piggy back off Authority Sites

This post is in relation to my previous post about using YouTube videos to funnel visitors either to your own websites or to your affiliate offers etc. I would say that the following information is proof enough that these methods are working very well right now.

The following article is written by Jon Leger (creator of The Best Spinner among other excellent software tools).

If you’re having trouble ranking post-Penguin, go post your content on Blogger, Tumblr, LiveJournal, Yahoo Answers, PRWeb and the like. Google is ranking pages on those sites like crazy because of the authority of the root domains.

Here are a few examples:

Make Money From YouTube videos A Google SAFE way for Making Money Fast!If you’ve not heard the podcast I did with Joe and Justin over at AdSenseFlippers.com, then here’s the link to that…

I purchased a WSO the other day and started playing around with the concepts to see what was what.

It was Nate Rivers of Strayblogger.com who brought my attention to it. He’s now using the methods taught in the WSO too because a number of his own websites were hit in the recent Goofy algorithm update.

The Goofy search is in a right mess at the moment! All sorts of rubbish at the top, where lots of really good sites have been dumped.

The basis for the WSO was to “build” YouTube videos (lots of them) and get them ranking in Google.

You can purchase the product here – its only about 9 bucks or something, and its 9 bucks VERY well spent indeed!

Anyhow, this is my take on procedings.

How to Make Money on eBay – Part 2

ebay 2 How to Make Money on eBay Part 2On to part two of the How to Make Money on eBay adventure.

Part 1 can be found out here.

Part 3 is here.

Please keep in mind that I’m trying to ensure this information is very easy to understand for anyone – from the greenest of newbees – folks who are new to all this talk about Google rankings. Hence I’ll discuss things in plain English almost all the time and any SEO type terms I’ll try to explain as I go along if that’s necessary for further clarity.

This is the easy part. There’s no aspect to this whole kaboodle that’s difficult. Although it may be tricky to source a product or product line that you can sell at a profit. Once that’s been decided, its all pretty much plain saling, believe it or not.

Fact of the matter is, my intentions are to aim this guide at people who have already sourced their product, and who are already selling on eBay, and want many more people to see their offerings. But this information is for anyone who has a healthy interest in making money with eBay regardless you’re already a seller or not.

So, the question is, how do we achieve the increased traffic to our eBay store by going out-with the boundaries of eBay’s search traffic alone? (i.e. the folks who are already on eBay and use eBay’s search system to locate products they are interested in).

What we do is to put our trust in Google and try to achieve rankings for relevant keywords that pertain to what we are trying to sell.

Let’s take an example here.

Say we want to sell coffee tables.

We decide to focus in (or “niche-down”) on “lift top coffee table” which has 4,400 global search volume in Google each month, and 3,600 local to US search each month.

How to Make Money on eBay – Part 1

6 300x300 How to Make Money on eBay Part 1Initially I was going to make this information into an eBook and sell it (yeah, that there over on the left is my eBook cover – nice, isn’t it? But don’t click it because it goes no where. You’re getting this info for free – its only available to those people who read this series of posts, because you’re very special icon wink How to Make Money on eBay Part 1 ).

However, there’s so much good information similar to what I’m about to share with you (Steve Scot regularly discusses money making ideas similar to this one) that it makes sense to post this up on my blog and thereby make it freely available to everyone who cares to read it.

There’s far too much info here for a single post, so I’ll make it into a series of posts. Even if you have no intention of following through with these techniques, it still makes for an educational read, and the info here can be related to other techniques whereby you surely can make an impressive income if you so wish it.

The beauty of this technique is that its simple. So simple in fact that someone who is new to the SEO game and achieving Google rankings could gain success.

Could the technique I’m about to discuss with you have life-changing consequences?

Well, yes, I guess so.

Let’s move forward…

What Comes After Build My Rank? Back to the 9 to 5 Grind?

I’m not usually the one to jump on the bandwagon and start writing about a big event in history such as the downfall of BMR. But in this case because I’ve been a heavy user of BMR and also because I was earning a pretty healthy income from my affiliation to the BMR service (thank you very kindly to all those who used my affiliate link over the past 18 months or so!!!), I feel obliged to discuss this matter to some degree at least.

Build My Rank Is No More What Comes After Build My Rank? Back to the 9 to 5 Grind?

As you probably know by now, BMR is no more and they’ve closed their doors entirely.

Why so?

Because Google have apparently de-indexed a large part, if not all of the network of sites.

Thus, no more gaming the system a la BMR. Bummer!!

So what can we as gamers of the search engines now do?

Well its becoming apparent that the game is becoming more tricky to play.

Should we thus give up and return to our 9 to 5′s?

Well, if that thought appeals to you, then yes – why not.

But for most of us, the thought will be totally unappealing.

If I were to get a job as a toilet attendant here in Kuching, Malaysia, I’d earn about 4 RMG an hour. That’s about $1.30 US, or about 1 euro, I think. But if I were to get a job as a toilet attendant in the United Kingdom, I suspect I’d get paid around 6 UK pounds an hour, which is about 7 euro or $10 US. However, I prefer to live in Kuching, so the toilet attendant option is, well – not an option, is it?

Sorry for the diatribe.

Here’s the thing though, and I don’t want to make this a long drawn out post, so forgive me for merely making a mention of this without going into detail…

Does Google want to rank new sites that are unproven in terms of attracting visitors?

No, I hear you say.

Does Google want to rank older maturer sites that have something of a track record for attracting search engine visitors?

Yes, I hear you say, correct?

Now, I’m not sure about you, but for me – when I’ve been intent on getting top end rankings in Google (more recently) I’ve sometimes come a cropper. In fact, more often than sometimes. I’ve pushed the boat out just a bit too far, and I pay the penalty for doing so.

Why so?

From Apparent Failure to SUCCESS!

Today, I thought I would write a post which is particularly relevant to all those folks who regularly read my blog but rarely if ever comment. That’s fine – I know we are not all the commenting “type”. Apparently, the average amount of comments received by a blog is only 1% of total traffic. Fortunately, this blog is quite a bit above that.

Anyhow, I received a brief email today from a gentleman who sometimes writes me to check that he’s on the right tracks. As you know, I do try to answer almost every single email I get – other than those great long book-like emails which I’m sorry to say I simply don’t manage to get around to making a reply to.

Here is the email I received this morning. The gents name I will leave out for reasons of privacy…

Email title: Awesome “THANK YOU”. (I actually thought it was spam, LOL!).
