The Money is in the List – OR IS IT?

List Buiding The Money is in the List OR IS IT?

List Building

Here’s a turn up for the books – it is for me, anyhow! How often do you hear terms like “the money is in the list” and, “if you are not list building you are leaving money on the table” and, “if you don’t have a list your an idiot!“. Well okay, I made the last one up, but you get my point, I’m sure.

Would you believe that there is now a line of thought that goes something like this…

List building is fine, but using a Facebook page is BETTER!

OMG!

Did I write that right??

Did you read that right??

If you are shaking your head from side to side in an effort to dismiss this as UTTER NONSENSE, then here are some tell tale truths to back up the fact that using a Facebook page (linked to your blog, website – or not linked to anything at all) is actually BETTER than list building.

And after reading this you still don’t believe it – after all – its a “given” that list building is “the most powerful way to build an online business” – then don’t worry.

Go away and have a glass of something strong. Sit down for half an hour and relax. Put your feet up. And just consider this some more until the seed of reality is planted firmly within your mind.

Here’s the reasoning for the above statement…

1. Building and utilizing a Facebook page is free of charge regardless the size of your “fan” base

If you use Aweber, just for example, and you have over 10,000 subscribers on your list, then you will pay at least $149 per month for that service. Even the entry level Aweber account costs about $20 per month.

Guest Posting for Cutting Edge Results!

This post is all about making money! Yes, you sure do have to offer real good value to your potential customer, and that’s what successful marketing is all about, over the longer term, anyhow.

List Building using Webinars 300x223 Guest Posting for Cutting Edge Results!

Basically, what this money-making strategy entails…

Guest blog posting!

Now before you go all in a huff because you are no good at guest post writing and so you want to hit the back button, let me explain something to you.

I hate the thought of guest blog article writing!

I struggle to come up with ideas to write for guest posts, probably because I tend to over-think things and want my guest post to be cutting-edge and top notch each and every time.

I guess that’s not a successful methodology now, is it?

Why re-invent the wheel?

Some of the most successful selling eBooks are those that take ideas from other folks and combine them to make something of a fresh approach. Heck – even my own 40 days Warrior Forum “epic” was carried out in the same manor. And yet I managed to package that info up and have to this date managed to make a total of 1,300,250.5 sales of said eBook!

LOL! I wish!

There is another way however.

My Recent Joint Ventures – How are they Faring?

Just before I get fully going with the new project challenge of trying to rank various higher end kwds in Google with speed and without getting dumped or having the site de-indexed entirely, I thought I would provide something of an update on those joint ventures that I asked people to apply for if they were interested in working with me and making some money together. You can see the original post here.

Well, unfortunately I’m not at liberty to name names of my partners, nor am I at liberty to disclose the actual niches we decided to go into. I can provide an over-all map of progress however, so here goes.

All of these particular joint ventures were started about 5 weeks ago (once we’d tied a few loose ends together), with exception of one of them. One was started about 8 weeks ago, if memory serves me correctly.

Of the 7 original jv’s, one has died a death, which is fine. The person who got involved initially obviously had a lot of other things going on, so there is not a problem with that when it does occur. Another jv was put on hold for almost 3 weeks so progress with that one is a bit slower.

As for rankings – I’ll assess that first.

Income Stats from my Internet Marketing – July 2010

I said I would disclose my income for July 2010 so here we go. I’ve never done this before – not to this extent, but I see no harm in it – maybe more of a way of providing inspiration both to you and to me. Internet marketing is a journey, after all. So I think its good to have lots of people join in upon my journey, rather than making it all alone.

.

The stats are purely from internet marketing. It does not include any income from SEO’ing for others, nor for consultancy work.

.

I’ll begin with income from my travel site. All figures are in US dollars so you have to remember that although most payments are made into my account with UK pounds, there has been recent fairly large fluctations in the £/$ exchange.

Hi Ezzer, thanks for coming round and leaving your feedback – much appreciated!

I think if you follow the tips in the thread then you should be able to push your site right up there on Goog rankings and keep it up there too. Depends on a number of variables of course, but good quality and consistent backlinking will help no-end!

List building, huh? In the ealy days I joined up with a very expensive program to teach list building. Run by two of the best known guys too. However, I hated their tactics of what to me was simply spamming folks. So many emails sent out over a week, every week. It may well make them a fortune (and has) but its not at all how I would choose to run my own business.

I am sure that your own coach has a totally different mindset and technique however Ezzer, so I wish you all the best with that!

Kind regards!
Joseph
