Steve Scott’s recent blog post ties in nicely with the fact that I’ve recently gotten hold of Spencer Haw’s Long Tail Pro keyword phrase research tool (or niche research tool if you prefer), and I’ve been giving the niche site master’s (in reference to Spencer Haws) research tool a whirl to see how it fares.
(You may be wondering about the image on the left – greyhounds are long tailed pro’s. Kinda stupid, I know

Steve Scott’s post is titled 7 Questions for Finding a Profitable Niche Market. I know this subject is problematic for quite a number of my own blog’s visitors, so do shoot over to read the post, then come back here to check out my video on Spencer’s Long Tail Pro!
Here’s a very brief run-down of how I carried out my first assessment of the tool. I must add that I never watched any videos on how to use the tool, nor did I read any how-to’s either (the tool comes with how-to videos and also a handbook).
The software is very simple to use, even for a novice (and even for a technophobic such as myself!), and that in itself is a big fat thumbs up in its favour!
What’s more, as you will see in the video, I spent a few minutes on some keyword analysis and found a couple of very interesting exact match domains which I suspect even if the domain names were purchased without building out a website, there’s still some tasty profits to be had here.
That’s another potential angle to using this niche research tool!
