Add Value to Your Posts in Order to Get Long Term High Google Rankings

2010 11 27 0719 300x139 Add Value to Your Posts in Order to Get Long Term High Google Rankings I decided to do a check using Scroogle Scraper – the tried and trusted way of determining approximately where you are ranking for various keyword phrases in Google dot com. In fact, Scroogle is providing me better results than does the Google keyword ranking tool – and these results are fairly related to the use of Build My Rank! (Sorry to everyone who did not get in on Build my Rank at the lower price!).

One of the bad things about WordPress is that it tends to mess up your post editing – hence this post is all squashed up. Furthermore, in this particular post its putting a score mark through a lot of my links. I’ve seen this happening on other blogs recently too. Anyone know what’s causing this?

This time last year my rankings for similar keywords were pretty reasonable. And this time last year I was making more money, even though I did not really know what I was doing. But this time this year my rankings (according to Scroogle, which is supposed to be representative of at least some of the Google dot com database/s) are quite a lot better than last year.
.
And as I mentioned already, this is because of my investment in Build My Rank and my investment in people to write articles for it, albeit I’m down to one part time writer who writes about 50 to 60 posts a week for me.
I could not be happier with what I am seeing in Scroogle. Often times I’ve got rankings 1, 2 and 3 in Google, which includes “Twilight poster”, which you can see in the above screenshot. But, I’m seeing almost no income from any of this which amazes me.

Christmas Sales Online in Early November

With 5 pay days already gone in November, I would like to comment that I am NOT seeing anything of the Christmas spend rush. In fact, my eBay earnings have been the lowest so far this month than they have been for many, many months. And its not just due to the fact that Google have been playing games with my rankings.

eBay visitor count has been reasonable (albeit it would be far better if Google had not dumped a number of my sites from their previous rankings).

But although I’ve been complaining a bit – as you do – about my really poor income so far, I’ve also been refocusing on some stuff which is well and truly away from eBay and has nothing to do with cashing in on the Christmas spend.

I set up a couple of sites… hmmmm… about 7 weeks ago I think. One is my JV in the fitness world (which has a lovely pink background colour, lol) and the other is based on selling a Clickbank product that pays out $50 US a go. Nice commission that is!

Well, I’ve not been working on ranking the fitness site for the previous week because there is nothing for sale on it yet, and its not monetized in any way. However, the two keyword phrases I have been gently working on are doing nicely in Google SERP. Both are ranking top 20 and I only used Build My Rank to get them there. Build My Rank is a better quality “tool” than is Blog Blueprint - by quite a long way, but its labour-intensive and may not suit everyone. [Read more...]

Are You Aware of this WONDERFUL FREE Google Rank Checker Tool?

If you did not know about this already and you are one of those types who loves to check up on your Google rankings every half hour of every day of every week of every month (oh, a bit like me then…), then this tool is a cool tool to use for such a thing. Nope, its more than cool – its awesome!

Up till now I’ve been using Scroogle Scraper, and occasionally the Hide My Ass proxy – both of which offer up differing results to some extent due to the fact they focus on different Google databases for their ranking results.

I really like Scroogle Scraper its nicely accurate, albeit not deadly accurate every time. But it does provide for a very good feel for where your web pages are lying in the rankings over-all, or so I trust anyhow.

There is also Rank Tracker which is very good as you can fire it up and it will track rankings for various different countries and different Google databases. But its a bit slow for me and I always tend to go back to Scroogle for a quick update on the fly (every half hour icon wink Are You Aware of this WONDERFUL FREE Google Rank Checker Tool? )

But here’s a killer tool that once again went under my radar.
