I’ve tried this piece of shit service! BLG worth nothing only hurts my rankings. One of my 6 years old site was on first page on Google between 7-11 pos for my 2 words phrase. I used BLG on it and I got a 200 position drop in rankings. Now passed 3 weeks and still in pos 103.
This is a highly overpriced service for what I got. I’d not reccommend to anyone. If you want improvement use BMR that is working fine and you will have real good baclinks not PR 0 shit like from BLG!
John, sounds to me that you used BLG to hit your money sites straight up, hence your big drop down the rankings. In most cases, BLG is not suited to linking to a money site. Its much more appropriate to link to outer tier sites, which then link back to your money site. You are right though – the backlinks gained from BLG tend to be very weak. So in this case its much more about quantity over quality, which is another reason to link to outer tier sites, which in turn link back to your main site.

I used BLG to link WEB 2 sites and Ezines too, just tried beside them on my money site. Never happen again! If I want comments and profiles I can get 4000 / day from dripable for $97 only as I did before. I do not use these services because got no improvement on any site I used. But BMR posts or HighPR society posts are working. I just published 5 orig posts and a page on my web 2 prop went to nowhere to pos 5 in Google.com So I think the quality links way much better in just drops than shit profiles and comments in 1000s.
I agree with you John – high PR links are far better than low quality mass produced links. My concern is with some of these high PR site networks, they send out rubbish quality content with your anchor text link within to their network. Guess what happens then? Google employee comes along, finds some of those high PR sites on the network and BAM! they are history. For sure – it does not harm your money site as such, but what it does do is you lose quite a few ranking places. So in essence, you have to start all over. I’m not saying they are all like this, but I do know that some are, which is not at all good since these services tend to be expensive. Fortunately, BMR’s quality control is so strict these days, that your backlinks with them stick for a long , long time!
I’ll see what happens in the future with BMP and Highprsociety.com posts. Now they are working fast. I use only unique posts, nos spun stuff. ALN is a free network much better than BLG and other mass sites. But has footprints because of the spun content same link placement and anchor text in the published 15 articles. For linking 2nd tier web2 sites, articles works fine, and almost free just need to be added 3 domain has PR.
