Sizzling Hot Article Marketing Strategy!
I am going to write directly from the top of my head right here – zero investigating, zero reformatting a different report – this happens to be raw, no filler hardcore realities (what else would you expect from me if you are a regular reader of this blog!!) with regards to article marketing and how to construct a profitable campaign that’s gonna really get some wonderful returns to help you ramp up your own article marketing efforts. Let’s get on, shall we.
There are a couple of key methods associated with applying article marketing to further your internet marketing career success… hmmm, okay, three-ish ways…
1. Employing the particular article itself to acquire targeted visitors to your non-SEO’d website.
2. Utilizing the article to obtain a really worth-while backlink and subsequently increase the SEO of your site/webpage.
(3). The combination of both.
I prefer to deal with the second of those within this particular article.
You undoubtedly have heard of article marketing in providing a technique of optimizing your web pages within the search engines. The basic strategy is to obtain a high-quality backlink, or else a variety of superior backlinks that then go towards ranking your site for your particular keyword/s.
Let’s get one thing straight nevertheless. You have got to use Do-Follow (or, not no-follow, to be more technically correct) article directories in order to do this or else you are not going to get the best out of your content articles. Do-follow?… Here is a good example.
Article Marketing Strategies
Consider we are actually seeking to rank within Google with the keyword “Queensland is the best holiday location”. I was informed recently it is one of the very best. So that you can rank highly for this keyword we would need to acquire a quantity of backlinks which will incorporate these keywords within the hyperlink. For illustration:
<ahref=”http://australiaholidays.com”>Queensland is the best holiday location</a>
Please don’t click on the link – it is simply a case in point.
The important thing to note related to this particular link is the keyword which is inserted within the link. Should the article directory, blog or what ever that we are making the effort to achieve a link from, utilize the do-follow rule on their web site, subsequently this will mean that our keywords would likely enable us to rank more highly within Google.
I mention Google mainly because right now I believe that Yahoo! Search, Bing.com together with Ask.com do not acknowledge the Do-Follow attribute (by all means do tell me if I’m wrong here – these search engines are updating their technology all the time). And seeing that Google makes up some 67% of web searches (Yahoo at 17%, Bing 11%, Ask.com 3%) then its not necessarily foolish to direct the majority of of our initiative on ranking in Google.
Okay, so I cited Do-Follow attributes inside our hyperlink. Exactly what else to look at? Well, it is without doubt a fact that good ‘ol ezinearticles.com is actually one of, if not the very best article directory to acquire backlinks from. Google simply just loves them and while you are not obtaining a straight PR6 backlink to your website (ezinearticles.com is ranked PR6 over-all) you will most certainly be getting “juice” from the volume of indexed articles that ezinearticles.com have. Moreover, the age associated with the domain does help. The Alexa ranking is one other aspect which might help in a variety of ways. And more things besides.
Additionally, its certainly not too challenging in order to actually enhance this particular article with its own “juice” and then get some of that link juice power coming to our personal website or webpage. Thereby and subsequently bettering our site’s rankings further. Wish to understand exactly how to achieve a high PR article to link back to your own website in short shrift?
Now please consider the fact that what you are going to read next, if you click this link here… article marketing strategies is simply going to blow your mind! It really is! Are you sure you are prepared for this? I warn you to take a seat, get comfy, relax, take a few deep breaths – its your last chance!

Hi Joe,
Your blog has some good content. How do you deal with the fact that ezinearticles often fade off the top after a few weeks. And do you keep low competition words for the article directories as well as the main site you link to? People say it’s good to be under 10,000 in quotes for ezinearticles, but those are the low competitive phrases that are also good for your site and then ezinearticles will outrank your own site. Just wondering about that.
Hi Deb, welcome and thanks for dropping by! Hope you got my email okay earlier on.
Let’s tackle your questions one by one…
1. How to deal with ezine articles fading from high ranking positions?
Okay, let me turn this around a bit. Let’s say you were ranking top 10 in Google or the others for some keyword after you had worked the keyword for a bit. Now, what generally would happen if you do not continue to work that keyword – the web page on your site that shows up in the top 10? Chances are high that slowly but surely its going to drop down and out of the top 10 and then out of the top 20 and so on. With an article its going to be the same process. It will jump in to the top 10 very possibly a few days after its published and once it has been indexed because of the power you receive from the actual article directory. So already the article is quite strong with regards its capability to rank. But if you just let it sit there and take no further action, inevitably it will drop away, unless its such an easy keyword to rank for that there is simply no other competition worth its salt. Thus, hit the article with a few good quality backlinks and that will keep it ticking over for possibly quite some time to come. Want to rank top spot? Its the same process – good quality backlinks will inevitably do the job!
2. Would I go for low comp keywords of under 10 thousand competing – in quotes?
This is a misnomer Deb. An example: I once ranked an ezine article in top 6 of Google for a keyword that had over 100 million competing – that was without the quotes. With the quotes, if memory serves me well, it was something like about 25 million or some ridiculous amount. How did I do that? I wrote the article with the keywords in the title and perhaps also one time in the body and then submitted it. Huh? Is that it? Yes, that’s it.
It does not matter a jot if there are 2,000 competing in quotes or without quotes or with one quote and not the other quote, or if there are 50 million competing. Not a jot! What truly does matter is the top guys and gals that are actually working the keyword you want to rank for. I mean, those folks who know a bit about the techniques of SEO and they take the time to implement those techniques properly. And generally, these folks will be the upper echolon – perhaps the top 10 to top 50 sites or so.
Thus, to rank your site’s page you would use best practice for SEO on-page techniques. Further, you would also use best practice for off-page SEO techniques. Now I’m not saying that anyone necessarily knows precisely what best practice is here, but there are a few around who do know how to rank their sites and/ or articles time and again, simply because they apply techniques that work and work very well! These people are not concerned about the amount of competition whatsoever! They are however, concerned about who is ranking at the top of – say Google, and they are concerned about how those sites or articles are ranking – what did they do to get this ranking and is it easy enough to outrank them by employing a variety of great techniques within a given time-frame? This is what these people are asking every single time they decide to target a new keyword, and it is what you should be asking yourself too.
If this seems ambigous and has confused you even more, then I’m not at all surprised Deb. When – for many folks it finally hits home that their previous methods for finding good keywords are wrong, its quite a lot to take in – it was for me too! But do let it sink in and do give it a lot of thought because with this new knowledge you will be on your way to employing far better and successful techniques for choosing really hot keywords!
To your success!
Joseph
I don’t think Yahoo and Bing get nearly 30% of searches they are bragging about. When I check where my traffic is coming from only 3% of traffic comes from Bing and Yahoo combined. 97% still belongs to Google…
I’m not sure where the stats come from Eugene. Most of my traffic comes from Google, no doubt about it. I recently saw a surge in traffic to one site I have – from ask.com. But seems you have to have the top spot ranking before you get much traffic from any search engine other than Google.
